IF A WEATHER STATION IS IN YOUR PLANS HAVE I GOT A STATION FOR YOU. THIS IS MY MOST POPULAR STATION.
While exploring the pattern world looking for something different in weather stations I decided to create my own style. Checking with my Hardwood supplier I took a 5 minute ride to his place. He has everything in hardwoods anyone could want. While looking through his kiln dried pieces, I found some pretty interesting pieces. I like using Cherry for my large weather stations. I try to find boards with lots of different styles in the wood. Some have a long wide brown streak down through the middle of the board. Where the gauges are mounted the brown streaks look very nice between the gold and brass gauges. On most of my larger stations I also insert a clock on the bottom of the design. I make the board long enough to have four holes equally apart with an emblem of some type on the top & bottom along with a brass or black name plate just over the first gauge. I sand and treat the wood before final installation of all the gauges, clock, name plate, & emblem. After 24 hours of drying time, I put it all together and its done.

CHERRY WEATHER STATION & CLOCK This is one of my favorite large styles of Weather Stations that I do. I can usually build one this size and style in a day. I coat it after I have two or three done and the place is totally dust free. It may be a couple of days after I finish. I let them dry for 24 hours in a dust free room.

WEATHER STATION & CLOCK
NEW STYLE OF WEATHER STATION This is a design that I made wondering what it would look like with 4 evenly spaced gauges and a couple emblems added along with a name plate. I though I looked pretty nice specially after I added a dark stain and a clear finish on to them. Not bad at all.

STOP SIGN WEATHER STATION & CLOCK
LARGER SHIELD DESIGN & NO CLOCK This is only a weather station with no clock. When I made this pattern I knew a fourth gauge would look silly on this so I didn't have a clock. I did put a couple firemens emblems on them cause they are all being used for our Firemens Banquet in April of each year. I am celebrating 30 years this year ( 2002 ).
